It’s travel tuesday again and I figured it would be the perfect time to congratulate our winning Flightsters.
First, let me start by thanking all of you who participated in the contest. For those of you who didn’t win, don’t despair. When the booking engine launches in a few months there will be plenty more opportunity for cool prizes, travel perks, and more. It’s been an amazing opportunity for me to get to know many of you and I hope you’ll stick around and stay engaged with us. I will write up a post with a behind the scenes look at the contest in a week or two. If you do have questions, comments, feedback, or more, please leave a comment on this post and I’ll answer it in the the “behind the scenes” post.
Our New Flightsters
Jools Stone: I’m happy to welcome Jools Stone (@jools_octavius) to our team as a new contributor. His blog on train travel brought a whole different angle to things and he did a great job promoting himself in various forums in order to get votes, despite some controversy surrounding his efforts.
BackPacking Matt: I’m also excited to welcome Matt(@backpackingmatt) to the team. I’m looking forward to living life vicariously through him for the time being as he shares his stories of traveling the world.

Congrats Jools and Matt! Look forward to reading your posts.
(We’re going to need some girls around here. I’m really, really outnumbered!
)
Thanks Shannon, I’m looking forward to working with you! (And I brush up ok in a halterneck and pair of kitten heels.)
Congrats to you guys! It was a tough challenge and I couldn’t be as involved as I would have liked (without internet access in the village and looking for an apartment at the same time in the city…), it was a pleasure to be a part of it! Looking forward to your posts, so bring them on…
